Connecting age and stage of human development to career transitions
This is a webinar!
Join us for an interactive session to explore why the connection between human development and career transition is essential knowledge for CDPs. We’ll draw upon Virginia Satir and Eric Ericson’s theories to explain the developmental stages and how they relate to career transition. This is crucial because it emphasizes considering where a person is in their age and stage of life, along with understanding what kind of systems they need around them to support their transition.
Participants will work in small groups on a case study. They will apply their learning of the theories and reflect on their own experiences to identify the impact that individual’s developmental stage has on their transition. In addition, we will link the content to the Competency Framework and explore together practical strategies that practitioners can use in their work.
