ChatCDP: Identifying Mental Health Outcomes in Career Development Practice
The Career Development Professional Centre is thrilled to bring you ChatCDP – an opportunity to meaningfully connect with others working within career development and employment services, from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
ChatCDP is for those who are craving connections with colleagues. It is an opportunity to embrace the power of collaboration as CDPs from various backgrounds, work settings, and regions unite to lean on, and learn from, each other, share insights, celebrate successes, and experience the power of career development.
Together, we’ll pave the way for a dynamic and connected Canadian CDP Community where everyone has a voice . . . one chat at a time!
Identifying Mental Health Outcomes in Career Development Practice
Led by Dave Redekopp & Michael Huston
Most CDPs answer “yes” when asked if their work contributes to the mental health of those they serve. Almost all CDPs answer “no” when asked if they track/record these contributions. Join us for an interactive 1.5-hour ChatCDP session where we’ll dig into the mental health changes you see in your work and the reasons you are or are not tracking these changes and shouting them from the rooftops. The discussion will start with getting clarity about terminology so we’ll know we’re all talking about the same things. After that, we’ll share experiences, concerns, questions, and insights. Exchange, learn, and improve the field, all in one session—it doesn’t get much better than that!

Important Notes:
- This session is capped at 25 attendees to foster meaningful engagement.
- If you can no longer attend, please email e.worthen@ccdf.ca so we can offer your spot to someone else.
- If demand is high, we’ll aim to add more sessions to the schedule!
